LIFESTYLE | Summer picnics in Amsterdam
Se tem uma coisa que a gente ama fazer aqui quando chega o verão, é piquenique. Uma atividade perfeita para as crianças, reunir a familia ou os amigos ao ar livre, e desfrutar de algum lugar lindo com comidinhas gostosas acompanhando o passeio. Fazemos piquenique na praia, no parque, no lago, na beira dos canais, no nosso jardim... foram tantos este ano, que até perdi a conta. O verão acaba de terminar por aqui mas fica este post para te inspirar nesse verão que está por chegar aí do outro lado do mundo.
If there's one thing we love to do here when summer comes, it's a picnic. A perfect activity for children, or to spend time with family and friends outdoors while enjoying a beautiful place and nice snacks. We had picnics on the beach, in the park, on the lake, at the canal pier, in our garden ... there were so many this year that I even lost count. The summer has just ended but this post is to inspire you if you are on the other side of the world and summer is still to come.
O primeiro do ano foi em Maio, quando encontrei a Gabi, uma amiga, no centro da cidade.
Decoramos um pier com uma vista linda, tomamos chá com scones e fizemos algumas fotos.
Era de manhã cedinho e com a cidade ainda vazia, sentamos e curtimos Amsterdam de uma forma bem especial :)
The first one was in May, when I met Gabi, a friend, in the city center.
We decorated a pier with a beautiful view, had tea with scones and took some pictures.
It was an early morning and with the city still empty, we sat and enjoyed Amsterdam in a very special way :)
Depois deste dia, resolvemos repetir a experiência em um lugar mais campestre e acabei escolhendo um parque que freqüentamos muito e que é um dos meus lugares favoritos e bem pertinho da nossa casa.
After this day, we decided to repeat the experience somewhere else and ended up choosing a park that we go very often and that is one of my favorite places here, very close to our home.
Queria que estas imagens demonstrassem um pouco do nosso estilo de vida aqui na Holanda, dos momentos junto à natureza, dias ensolarados de verão, o frescor das frutas sazonais e um ar nostálgico que adoro agregar às fotos.
Definindo isso, pensei nos alimentos e objetos que poderiam ajudar a traduzir esses sentimentos que queria despertar, pensei nas cores e separei tudo que iria compor nosso piquenique, sempre levando em consideração que sejam coisas práticas, leves e que tudo caiba na cesta da bicicleta :)
Levamos croissants, café gelado, frutas frescas e pelo caminho colhemos as flores que fizeram parte do cenário, decorei nossa mesa e a Gabi foi fotografando.
I wanted these images to show a little bit of our lifestyle here in the Netherlands, moments in nature, sunny summer days, the freshness of seasonal fruits, and that nostalgia touch that I love adding to the photos. I thought about the food and objects that could help translate these feelings I wanted to communicate, considering the colours and selecting everything that would compose our picnic: it should be practical and fit in the bicycle basket: ) We took croissants, iced coffee, fresh fruit and along the way we picked the flowers that were part of the scenery, I decorated our table meanwhile Gabi was photographing.
Maya também participou desta vez, saíram fotos dessas que a gente quer guardar pra sempre como um tesouro valioso, e que traduzem muito do nosso dia-a-dia juntas neste lugar que amamos (thank you so much, Gabi!).
Maya also participated this time, we ended up with these photos that I want to keep forever, and that show a lot of our life together in this place we both love (thank you so much, Gabi).
Não é preciso muito para criarmos momentos assim, nem um piquenique lindamente decorado se o principal objetivo for curtir momentos com pessoas que amamos estar.
Eu adoro agregar beleza às coisas, transformá-las em fotos para poder registrar momentos que não quero que se percam e quem sabe ainda te inspirar: a pensar em um lugar que você amaria estar, fazer aquele sanduíche fácil e delicioso, encher a garrafa térmica com um suco fresquinho ou levar aquele vinho branco bem geladinho pra tomar olhando a vista que nem sempre a gente cria tempo pra poder apreciar.

It doesn't take much to create moments like this, nor a beautifully decorated picnic if the main goal is to enjoy moments with people we love to be with. I love adding beauty to things, transforming them into photos so I can register special moments and maybe also inspire you: to think about a place you would love to be, to make that easy and delicious sandwich and a fresh juice, or take that cold white wine to drink while looking at that view that you do not always create time to appreciate.
